A general statement that a battery is good is less useful than evidence explained by a qualified technician.

Review the vehicle's maintenance history and ask whether any hybrid-system repairs are documented. If the records are incomplete, discuss an independent assessment before agreeing terms. The year and odometer reading provide context, but they do not replace a check of the particular car.

Find out which workshop would support the model locally and what its assessment includes. Keep high-voltage inspection and repairs with appropriately trained technicians. Ask for a written explanation of any proposed work and any warranty that is being offered, including its scope and exclusions.
